M. Ward at the Vic Theatre

Last night I went to the sold-out M. Ward XRT Show at the Vic and it was great! M. Ward is insanely talented. Not only did he play the guitar but he also played a few songs on the piano and threw a harmonica in at one point. I have never seen someone play the guitar like that before! I tried to watch his hand as he picked the strings but it was literally moving so fast his fingers were blurred. Not to mention his unique voice is indescribably appealing live. All of this talent and yet he still remains modest seeming, sort of bashful almost. He played a lot of songs off of his newest and excellent record as well as some older things. His band was great as well. This was one of the most enjoyable shows I have ever been to. For anyone who appreciates great guitar or just great, moving music, see M. Ward the next time he is in town.
