Best Street Festival in Chicagoland?

Summer in Chicago wouldn’t be the same without attending at least a couple of our street festivals. Last weekend, we hung out at both the Roots and Folk Festival in Wells Park and the Rock Around the Block in Lakeview. Looking ahead at this weekend, the Old St. Pat’s Block Party is always a blast, and the Sheffield Garden walk is an awesome fest for the whole family. We all know that various locations, music genres and food vendors draw a wide range of people to Chicagoland’s summer festivals. Now we want to hear from you… Here’s your chance to sound off on which festivals are your favorites! Best Food? Best Lineup? Best Location? People watching? Hilarious stories from fests-gone-by? Tell us what you think!

  2. Taste of Randolph was a couple weeks ago; it had good food, drinks, and atmosphere. It was a packed at night but still a ton of fun. It was the first time I’d ever heard of Drive By Truckers and I liked them so much, I stayed for the whole set.

  3. I thought the jewelry booths at the Folk and Roots Festival were great. Also, the lemonade stand there was amazing.

  4. I particularly enjoyed BAM Fest, the location was great and the lineup was fanastic (Maritime, Redwalls)! They also had some very unique vendors.

  6. I am going to have to say my favorite street festival so far this summer has been the Sheffield Garden walk. I was there last night and had a blast! Lots of families and also young people just listening to music and having a good time! Everyone was very friendly and the food was great. People watching is always a plus at the sheffield garden walk.
